The issue with Google Maps Platform, Places API (New), Places SDK for Android, Places SDK for iOS has been resolved for all affected projects as of Thursday, 2025-06-05 06:00 PDT.

Diagnosis: Very high rate of HTTP 5XX errors for valid requests

Workaround: Use Places API (Legacy) or other alternative API
